What to Wear: Maternity, Spring 2014

Hi there! I have some more fashion boards for you today but this time for maternity wear. I have four different looks that would be great for a maternity photo session!

Typically, I love to do the maternity sessions between 32-36 weeks of pregnancy. Be sure to choose something that flatters your body type at this stage of pregnancy and that you're as comfortable as you can be! Yes, there are flattering clothes for your body type during this stage AND clothing that is comfortable. Trust me. :) It's all about finding the right pieces! And you don't have to spend a fortune. The looks below are all from H&M and Zappos. Very affordable pieces. The jewelry is fun as well. Your accessories will add flair, color, texture and depth to your images.

Make sure you're wearing supportive undergarments for your session. This will help you feel and look your best! Try not to wear anything constricting or tight as you'll be uncomfortable. That will make you focus on that instead of the moment we are capturing...that bundle.

Definitely make sure you're hydrated the day of the session, and if you do wear any heels or wedges, I'd highly suggest bringing them along and wearing flats to do your walking or flip flops/slip on sandals for comfort. You can slip into your "cute" shoes for the actual shots. Plus, you'll be more at ease if you're steady on your feet while walking to the desired spot for shooting. We definitely want to be safe!

Feel free to bring a long, flowing dress (LOVE these especially for outdoor nature sessions), gauze wrap for your belly, and anything else you'd like to incorporate for your look.

If you have any questions on what to wear, what to bring (baby blanket, shoes, something else special you want in your maternity photos), what other family members should wear, and more, I will help guide you through the session if you need it.

I hope you enjoy these style boards I put together. I love making them for my future clients for reference! Thanks for stopping by.
